Karen F. Carpenter, age 67 of Massillon, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 20, 1947 in Parkersburg, WV and was the daughter of Reva Casto and the late Dillon H. Casto.

Karen had formerly been an employee at the Timken Company. She retired as the manager at Quick Clean Laundromat. She had attended the Massillon Baptist Temple.

Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter Geraldine Gainey.

She is survived by her sons, Chad Keller, Rick (Lynn) Gainey and Scott (Pam) Gainey, her daughter, Robin (Brint) Hess, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, her mother Reva Casto and her brother Dean Casto and sisters, Sandy Hathaway and Dianne Cummings.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Newman Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 P.M.

Memorials may be made in Karen's name to the American Cancer Society.
