Andrew served with the Westminster Regiment (MG) during World War 2. He enlisted at New Westminster, British Columbia, on June 5th 1940. He was 33 years of age. Andrew listed his occupation as "BC Electric Tram Driver." Andrew was born in Sapperton now part of New Westminster. He lived all his life in the New Westminster area. After his war service Andrew returned to New Westminster where, on June 29th 1958, he was killed in a bus crash at 8th & Columbia Street at age 51. Andrew Catherwood was buried in the Veterans Section of the Fraser View Cemetery at New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. (H.R.)
