Mrs. Mary Xander, 67, of Springfield, died yesterday at St. John's hospital, where she had been a medical patient since March 8. Mrs. Xander was born and reared in Springfield. She was a member of the Luther Memorial church.

Surviving are her husband, Elmer A. Xander, sr.; three sons, Elmer jr., Albert and Wilmer; a daughter Mrs. Arthur Faria; brothers Thomas Catherwood of Joliet and Herbert Catherwood of city; sisters Miss Martha Catherwood and Mrs. Margaret Thoman, both of city; two grandchildren. - IL State Journal, Springfield, IL, 3-19-1952
