June Carie, 54, of Lawrenceville and a native of north of Sumner, died Thursday November 28, 1974 at the Good Samaritan Hospital at Vincennes.
Funeral services were held Sunday from Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Tate in charge. Burial was in the Crest Haven Cemetery, near Olney.
She was born in Petty Twp., June 9, 1920, daughter of Arthur Garfield Cessna and Phoebe Kartherine Shidler Cessna. She was married Oct. 4, 1946 to Leo Carie, who surives.
Two daughters also survive, Mrs. Sandra K. Johnson of Naperville, Mrs. Roberta L. Williams of Madison, Tenn.; two sons, Robert L. Carie of Woodriver, Michael Ray Boren of Richton, Ind.; two grandchildren; her mother, Phoebe Cessna, of Sumner; five sisters, Fay Howell, and Thelma Hawkins of Shoals, Ind., Mary Sechrest and Alice Jerrell, both of Bridgeport, and Lola Gasperik, of Sumner; four brothers, Clarence, Thomas and Ira Cessna of Sumner and Paul Cessna of Gary, Ind. And several nieces and nephews.
