CARNES – Patricia “Patti” “Grangie,” 63, Ebensburg, went to be with the Lord June 15, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Born Nov. 27, 1951, in Johnstown, daughter of the late George W. and Helen B. (Good) Cessna. Preceded in death by sister, Roberta Cessna, and sister-in-law, Eleanor Cessna. Survived by husband of 38 years, Joseph Carnes; children, Brad Scott (Angela) Carnes, Christian Joseph Carnes, Joshua John (Jennifer) Carnes and Ashley Renee (Scott) Maul; grandchildren, Gavin and Garrett Carnes and Anthony and Austin Maul. Sister of James Cessna, Barbara (Carl) Brida, David (Janice) Cessna, Carol (Dale) Vay, William (Donna) Cessna and Jack Cessna, and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Ebensburg First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), where she was pianist and treasurer. She was an avid crafter and gardener. Recently retired as secretary from Ebensburg Borough. Grangie loved playing with her grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, and from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ebensburg First Christian Church, the Rev. Dr. Frank Brosius, officiating. Interment, Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patti’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
