A daughter of James and Charlotte (Grove) Kay. She was first married on Jan. 17, 1888 in Everett to Andrew Curtis Minnich, son of John and Lydia A. (Daniels) Minnich, born 1864. They had daughter Elva. After his death she married William Watson Cessna on May 20, 1896, son of William and Margaret Cessna. Source: PA County Marriages.

Mrs. Cessna was survived by four sons: Earl of Akron, Ohio; John V. of Everett RD2; William W. of Altoona; and Norman J. of New York City; and three step-children: Elizabeth Fink of Hopewell RD1; Charles Cessna of Pittsburgh; and David I. Cessna of Hopewell RD1; 16 grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Cessna was a charter member of the Hopewell Grace Brethren Church of Yellow Creek.
