Mr. Chandler was born May 11, 1921, in Clackamas. He graduated from Milwaukie Union High School in 1939. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a foreman for Stainless Steel Products near Los Angeles for many years until his retirement in 1991. In 1944, he married Bernadine "Bernie" Minster.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Dave and Greg; daughter, Linda Bulkley; sister, Barbara Akerblom; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Arrangements were by Bade Mortuary in Tujunga, Calif.
