Bruce A. Chapman, age 75, U.S.A.F., Retired, a resident of Boerne, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2005. Born in West Lebanon, Indiana, he was the son of Jesse and Irma Hall Chapman. His military career as an officer and a pilot included tours in Korea and Viet Nam, during which he was awarded multiple medals and honors. After retiring from the military in 1969, he resided in Omaha, Nebraska, before moving to the Hill Country in 1996. Active in the Chamber of Commerce in Omaha, He served as legislative chair for several years and actively lobbied in the Nebraska Legislature on small business issues. He was most proud of his chairmanship of the committee responsible for the passage of a statewide referendum to allow tax increment financing. In addition to his beloved Wife, Rita, of Boerne, Mr. Chapman is survived by his Stepson, Michael R. Reed and Grandchildren, Michael, Rachel, and Tyler Reed, all of Omaha, Nebraska; Mother in law, Shelagh Johnson; Sister in law and Brother in law, Kay and Steven Gale; Nephew, Joe Gale. The Visitation will be on Sunday, January 1, 2006, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be on Monday, January 2 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 16320 Huebner Road, San Antonio. Interment with full military honors will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. If so desired, Memorials may be made to the St. Andrew Lutheran Church or Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, UT 84741.
