GROVETON -- Adrienne Boudrias, 89, of State Street, died April 21, 2009, at Country Village-Genesis Elder Care Center in Lancaster, with her loving family by her side.
She was born May 29, 1919, in St. da'Mase, Canada, to Napoleon and Eugenie (Daigle) Charest. She was a resident of Groveton since 1951, coming from Canada.
She worked for 10 years for the Manchester Knitted Fashions, then at the mill in Groveton and other jobs. She was a volunteer at the Groveton Thrift Shop for several years and helped with the Senior Meals program in Groveton for many years.
She was a member of the St. Marguerite d'Youville Parish-St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton; Daughters of Isabella; the church Community Affairs Group; and was a hospitality minister. She was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Auxiliary.
She loved to play bingo and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Urgel Boudrias, Oct. 8, 2007.
Family members include a daughter, Raymonde Bilodeau of Lancaster; a son, Louis Boudrias of Groveton; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Hormidas Charest of Canada; and numerous nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church with the Rev. Daniel Deveau, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Northumberland Cemetery.
