HAINES CITY, Fla. _ Rosalind C. Bush, 86, of Haines City, Fla., passed away Friday, June 22, 2012, at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, surrounded by her family.
The daughter of Morris and Ethel (Harrington) Chase, Rosalind was born July 23, 1925, in Oneonta. She was raised in Chase, graduated from Cooperstown High School and Utica School of Commerce. She was employed by REA Hartwick, MI Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown High School and Earlville Agway.
Rosalind married Ralph C. Bush, the love of her life, on July 20, 1946. They resided 23 years in Hartwick, relocated to Earlville, and retired to Florida in 1989.
Music was a big part of her life. She played piano, clarinet, rang bells and sang in her church choir. In addition she enjoyed quilting, dancing and playing cards.
Rosalind is survived by her sister, Joyce Muller of Long Island; and children, Susan (Tom) Egan of Davidson, N.C., Kathy (Gary) Prairie of Cato, Diane Brassaw of Cooperstown and Ralph M. (Terry) Bush of Barneveld. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Rosalind was predeceased by her husband, Ralph C. Bush.
A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2012, at the Hartwick Seminary Lutheran Church. A burial service will follow in the Fly Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
