"SCHENEVUS - Fred Chase, life-long Schenevus resident, died Saturday at Binghamton State hospital after an illness of about six months. He was 78 years old. Mr. Chase was born November 4, 1872, the son of Robert and Hannah (Lambert) Chase. He had lived on the family farm all his life. Surviving are three cousins, Mrs. Donald Chamberlain, Pleasant Brook; Carl Chase, North Syracuse, and Mrs. Rose Sperbeck, Richfield Springs. Funeral services were held Tuesday evening at the Potter Funeral Home, Schenevus, with the Rev. E. A. Hubbard, pastor of the Schenevus Baptist church, officiating.
