Funeral services will be held today for Anna Faucett Chavanne, 71, who died Tuesday morning following an illness of 3 months.

Remains will lie in state in Hixson's funeral parlor until 9:45 a.m. today, services will be held in the Trinity Baptist church, burial will be in Graceland cemetery.
Mrs. Chavanne was a resident of Lake Charles for 60 years, her home was 915 Kirby. She was born in Oxford, Ohio on Nov. 24, 1877. She came to Lake Charles as a child and was a valedictorian of the 1st class in Lake Charles High school, she taught in Sulphur High school.
Mrs. Chavanne was married in 1899 to Philip E. Chavanne who died 2 years ago.

Survivors are 2 sons; Edward F. of New Orleans and Harry J. of Houston; one daughter, Mrs. Leon M. Hyatt of Lake Charles; 7 grandchildren. One son Philip M. died in 193?. Two brothers, Philip Watson Faucett of Champaign, Illinois and George D. Faucett of Pershing, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Bradway of Connersville, Ind.
