from disease of the heart, greatly accelerated
from excessive fatigue during the
whole of the siege of Delhie (sic).
He was an accomplished surgeon, conversant in the
arts and sciences; a man of the strictest honour,
integrity and veracity,
also a sincere and good Christian
and deservedly beloved by his Regiment.
