Born in Canton, China, passed away peacefully at Little Mountain Place. Predeceased by her husband Chi Ho Chiang, Anne is survived by 3 sons Edward, Rudy, Michael, 2 daughter-in-laws, Mary K. (Rudy), Mary M. (Michael), and 5 grandchildren Randy, Frederick, Byron, Kathleen and Andrea. Anne was predeceased by God-son Sion Y. Lau, survived by his wife Hui K. Lau, and survived by God-son Maximus Kan. Anne graduated in 1940 with a B.A. in Education from the University of Gwong Wah, in Shanghai China. She taught at the Kwong Tong Orphanage and extended her loving care to the many children orphaned by invaders of the War. She also held teaching positions at the Kwang Chou University, Chung Hua Middle School in Kuala Belait, Brunei. Coming to Vancouver with her family in Sept. 1963, Anne started a new career at Mount St. Joseph Hospital as a kitchen helper, and became the Chinese Meal cook until her retirement. During her 91 full years, Anne had seen peace times and war times, prosperous times and bitter times, years of hope and years of challenge. She accepted them all with dignity and found peace within. Anne and her family are grateful for the kind and gentle staff of Little Mountain Place during her stay since 2001. Her heart felt thanks are also extended Dr. Ranchod, Dr. Peter Kwan, Dr. Joyce Sun, Dr. Choi K. Yeung, and the staff of the Renal Clinic for their generous support and encouragement. Vigil services will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday April 9 at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, 306 E. 11 Ave on Kingsway. Funeral Mass will be officiated by Father Joseph Nguyen, at 10 am Monday, April 10, 2006 at Saint Andrews Parish, 480 E. 47 Ave, Vancouver. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Gifts of flowers and donations gratefully declined. Tributes and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.MeM.com
