Jacqueline "Polly" Chipman Archer Johnson, 75, of Drasco died Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at her residence. Mrs. Johnson was born July 10, 1933, in Manila to the late John D. Chipman and Ethel L. (Meadows) Chipman. Before moving to Drasco, she had been a long time resident of the Manila area. She was of the Baptist faith, worked for ConAgra and American Greetings for many years and enjoyed her work, reading, working puzzles and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Carol D. Johnson of Drasco; two sons, Murle Dewice and wife Peggy Archer of Jacksonville and Lloyd A. and wife Lisa Archer of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sisters, Melba Sherrod and Carlean Evans, both of Manila; seven grandchildren, Julie Wild, Scott Archer, Tiffany Claar, Michael Johnson, Raymond Johnson, Randy D. Archer and Danny J. Archer, and a host of family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Randy Archer; a daughter, Mary Jon Archer; four brothers, Harold Chipman, C.J. Chipman, J.V. Chipman and Jerry Chipman; and a sister, Geraldine Stull.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 14, at the Manila Cemetery with Rev. Graig Stull officiating. The family received visitors on Wednesday evening at Faith Funeral Service in Manila.
