She was born June 5, 1969, in Rockville to Allen Chipman of Rockville and the late Linda (Prachniak) Chipman. She grew up and lived in Rockville before moving to Ellington. She attended local schools, including St. Joseph School, and was a graduate of Rockville High School and Central Connecticut State University. She was a parishioner of St. Bernard Church in Rockville. Sallie was employed at Rockville Bank as a teller and researcher, and later as a sales lead at Limited Brands in Enfield. Sallie was a compassionate, caring person that enjoyed helping others. She was known by all for her strength, kindness, and generosity. Sallie persevered despite her lifelong battle with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and was an inspiration to all of us. She was the light of our lives, and that special light will shine in our hearts forever.
In addition to her husband, and her father, she is survived by her loving children, her daughter Casey and her husband, Basem; and her son Matthew; two brothers, Steven Chipman and his wife, Kate, and their children, Hunter and Jake, and Joseph Chipman and his wife, Tara, and children, Connor, Amber, and Kylee; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Her family will receive friends for calling hours Friday, April 24, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 25, at 10 a.m. directly at St. Bernard Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Rockville.
