Carl Christensen Obituary
98, was born November 16, 1917 to Paul Christensen and Esther Chris-tensen in Westfield N.J. He passed away August 6, 2015 in Bradenton, FL. Carl served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a devoted family man who leaves behind his wife, Winnie Swann Christensen and her two children, Linda Howard of Pocasset, MA. and Dale Howard of Attleboro, MA., sister Esther Brooks of Neptune, NJ and many nieces and nephews. Carl also survived his two brothers, Eddie and Paul Christensen and his sister Clara Zimmerman. Carl was a resident of the Palmetto and Bradenton area for fifty four years. He had worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and Clement Brothers Oil Company in New Jersey. Carl was a past president of the Dawn Patrol Motorcycle Club in Bradley Gardens, NJ; also a past president of Suncoast Antique Bottle Col-lectors Club in Gulfport, FL. Carl and Winnie were frequent travelers in their RV and went on extensive trips. Carl was also an avid shell collector and a motorcycle enthusiast, not to mention his time collecting antique bottles. He will be missed by his friends and family for whom he gave his time and talents as an accomplished craftsman and true friend.
