Diane M. Di Noni (Capodilupo) Christensen, 58, of Hanson, died peacefully, after a courageous nine year battle with Breast Cancer, surrounded by her loving family and friends on Thursday, April 15th at home. She was the beloved wife of 37 years to Mark H. Christensen, Sr. Diane was born in Cambridge, raised in Holbrook, daughter of the late Joseph C. and Katharine C. (Maling) Capodilupo. She has been a resident of Hanson for the past 21 years; a member of the St. Josephs the Worker Church in Hanson and a member of the Whitman-Hanson Military Support Groups. Diane worked as a program director in Brockton, for the Brockton Arc (BARC) for 21 years and has been a volunteer at the HWMSG for over 8 years. She was a remarkable woman, dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends and enjoyed her garden and her home. In addition to her husband, Mark, of 37 years, she leaves her children, Kimberly A. Proulx and her husband Daniel of NH, Mark H. Christensen, Jr., and his wife Laura of Hanson, grandmother of 5, Corina M., Danielle M. and Michael P. Proulx of NH, Grace E. and Ryan M. Christensen of Hanson, sister of Karen Anderson of Holbrook , Paula Fallon of Dedham , Susan Lynch of Holbrook, her sister-in-law, Katherine Tobin of Florida, Harold E. Christensen of Whitman, also the late Michael A. Christensen, several nieces, nephews and friends. Her services will be held on Monday, April 19th at 9 a.m. from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the St. Josephs the Worker Church in Hanson. Her interment will follow in the St. Marys Cemetery in Randolph. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Sunday, April 18th from 3 - 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Brockton Area (BARC) c/o Jay Lynch, 1250 West Chestnut St., Brockton, MA 02301.
