Inez Oline Marie Christiansen was born on September 30, 1927 at Detroit, MI the daughter of Conrad and Ruth (Oak) Christiansen. She was baptized in Detroit and was confirmed at Vining Lutheran Church in Vining, MN on December 7, 1941. She attended grade school at Dist #103 and graduated from Battle Lake High School in 1945. She was married to LeRoy Chesborough in the Vining Lutheran Church on September 26, 1953. The couple resided briefly near Henning, MN before moving to St. Paul, MN where they lived for 36 years. Inez worked as a meat wrapper and a secretary at G.T.A. before becoming the manager of the gift wares department at Marshall's Department Store, a position she held for 7 years. The couple then returned to their farm near Henning and remained there until 2005 when they moved to Willow Creek Assisted Living in Henning followed shortly to a move to the Broen Home in Fergus Falls, MN. Inez is a member of the Vining Lutheran Church where she was active in WELCA. She was also a member of the Girard Kooks Homemakers Club. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, her flowers and serving her krumkaka and sharing her chokecherry and raspberry syrups, which she often offered at benefits. She also enjoyed traveling in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
She is survived by her children Brian (Karen) Chesborough, of Henning and Lori (Dave) Boudewyns, Forest Lake, MN; grandchildren: Sarah, Michelle, Kim and Luke, and step-grandchildren: Michelle and Sean; a brother: Albin Christiansen, Fergus Falls; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, two infant brothers; Roy and Forbes; and infant sister; and a daughter-in-law: Karen Chesborough.
