Ruby Yvonne Biederman was born on April 2, 1934 at home in Nidaros Township, rural Clitherall, Minnesota the daughter of Malfred and Emma (Sandahl) Christianson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Nidaros Lutheran Church, attended County School District #33 then graduated from the Battle Lake High School in 1951.

Ruby and Robert Biederman were married on February 20, 1955 in Vining, Minnesota. After their marriage they lived in Fergus Falls and in 1975 they moved to the north shore of Clitherall Lake. She had been employed with Western Minnesota Savings and Loan, The Ranch House, Fergus Elks and Stub's Dining Hall and Saloon. In 1979, Bob and Ruby purchased Bonnie and Clyde's in Clitherall which they operated until February 2001 during that time Ruby wintered in Deming, New Mexico for two years. She then worked for Fleet Farm for a number of years, where she was still employed at the time of her death. Ruby enjoyed sewing, cleaning, mowing the yard but her main interest was her family, especially her grandchildren, but mainly making sure everyone was comfortable. Ruby was happy to be a two time breast cancer survivor. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls and then transferred to the First Lutheran Church in Battle Lake.
