According to Julia Chubbuck Bellazie's [note spelling] burial record in the Chico Cemetery, it is noted that she is the sister of James Marquis Chubbuck. In the "Earliest Butte County Deaths 1850-1905", Julia Belinzia (Bellizia) died December 19, 1904, in Oakland at the age of 43. Buried Chico Cemetery. She was raised by Nellie Hopkins when her mother died when she was age 1.

Chico Record, Wednesday, December 28, 1904, pg 1 col 4: Sister of Sheriff Chubbuck Passes Away. Sheriff and Mrs. James Chubbuck returned from Oakland last evening and the same train brought the remains of the former’s sister, Mrs. Julia Bellizia, who died in Oakland on December 19th.
Deceased was a native of Butte county, having been born in Oroville in November, 1861. When but one year of age, her mother died and she was reared to womanhood by Mrs. Nellie Hopkins. She went to Oakland when a small girl, there attending school until her marriage to Frank Bellizia. As issue of this union there was a son, now aged 23 years, but whose whereabouts are not known. Mr. Bellizia died about 20 years ago.
Sheriff Chubbuck caused the remains of his sister to be brought to Chico for interment. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Catholic Church. The interment will be in the Chico cemetery.
