Ethel Clare Bartram, widow of David G. Bartram, died at her home in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl. on June 6th, 2001. Mrs. Bartram was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and moved as a small child with her family to Terre Haute, Indiana. She was the daughter of Ethel Hungerford Clare and Howard H. Clare. She graduated from Wiley H.S. and attended Northwestern University and Indiana University where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. She graduated from St. Mary of the Woods College. She was active in the Terre Haute community. She was on the board of the Childrens Theatre of Terre Haute, The League of Terre Haute, and the Board of Visiting Nurses. She moved to Greenwich, Ct. in 1961 and was part of the Women's Golf Association at the Greenwich Country Club. In 1980 she moved to Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl. where she was a member of the Ponte Vedra Women's Golf Association and the Beaches Ladies' Golf Association. Mrs. Bartram's family members include her daughter, Clare B. Cerri of Norcross, Ga.; her three grandchildren, David, Katie, and Steven Cerri; her sister Dorothy Clare Ray of Terre Haute and her sisterinlaw Mona Dees Clare of Terre Haute. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 20th at 11:00 a.m. in the Our Lady of the Star Catholic Church.
