Ronald Rudolph Clark

PRINCETON — Ronald Rudolph Clark, 69, of Round House Addition, Princeton, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston.

Born in Princeton on Sept. 4, 1936, he was the son of the late Marvin Lewis and Trilby Coburn Clark. He was retired from the Virginia Department of Corrections after 30 years of service. Mr. Clark was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, June Lawson and Maxine Pendleton and one brother, M.L. Clark Jr.

Survivors: Children, Susan C. Beckner and husband David of Midlothian, Va., John F. Merritt of Powhatan, Va.; three grandchildren, Heather D. Merritt, Jonathan A. Merritt and Samantha D. Merritt; two sisters, Sylvia White and husband Arin of Princeton, Mona Morrison of Madison, N.C.; one brother, Rev. Jackson D. Clark and wife Glenna H. of Princeton; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor James Coburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Courthouse Road in Princeton.

Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home or by online condolences at www.memorialfd.com.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
