Marvin L. Clark, Jr., 68, of 418 King George Avenue, S.W., Roanoke, formerly of Princeton, W.Va., died Saturday evening, December 13, 1997, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born on August 27, 1929, in Princeton, he was a son of Trilby Coburn Clark of Roanoke and the late Marvin L. Clark Sr. He was educated in Mercer County, W.Va., and was of the Protestant faith. He was a retired carman for the Virginian and Norfolk-Southern Railroads. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen. He had served with the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a sister, June Lawson. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Jackie Ray Clark of Dale City; one daughter, Ms. Sherrie Clark of Roanoke; three sisters, Mona Morrison of Madison, N.C., Mrs. Arin (Sylvia) White of Princeton and Maxine Pendleton of Tappahannock; two brothers, Rev. Jackson D. (``J. D."") Clark of Princeton and Ronald R. Clark of Powhatan, and five grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 17, 1997, from Roselawn Memorial Gardens on Courthouse Road in Princeton, with the Rev. Paul Hall officiating. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton. Those wishing to attend the graveside services are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
