Carole M. Bailey, age 80, passed away at home in Coeur d'Alene, ID, on September 11, 2013. Carole was born in Hanna, WY, on April 16, 1933, to Alex and Helen Clark. She graduated from Rock Springs High School in 1951. Carole married Dexter L. Bailey on December 14, 1953 in Rock Springs, WY. Dexter and Carole owned and operated 22 Dex Bailey Tire stores throughout the Northwest. In 1977, they moved to Coeur d'Alene, ID from Moscow, ID. They owned and operated Dex Co and were the former owners of the Cotton Club. Carole was a member of the Methodist Church. She was an amazing grandmother and loved spending time and playing with her grandchildren. Carole enjoyed gardening and watching sports especially baseball. She is survived by her four children: Mike L. Bailey of Spokane Valley, WA, Patrick Lee Bailey of Corvallis OR, Karen Jean Rudbeck of Hayden Lake, ID, and Shari Knudtsen of Post Falls, ID; her brother Alex Clark Jr. of Rock Springs, WY; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Carole is preceded in death by her husband Dexter in 1992; her parents; and her brother Leslie Clark in 1933.
