Annie May Bowden, 82, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at the home of her daughter, Louise Greenier, surrounded by the family she adored. She was born in Prospect on Oct. 1, 1927, the daughter of the late Nelson A. and Helen M. (Moody) Clark. She attended schools in Prospect and Winterport and graduated from Searsport High School in 1945.
Annie was a life member of Joseph R. Sanford Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 3198 in Skowhegan. She also belonged to the Ripley Grange.
Annie is survived by her three sons and their wives, Nelson and Linda Bowden of Canaan, David and Lois Bowden of Hartland, and Walter and Judy Bowden of Newport; her two daughters, Louise Greenier of Canaan and Bonnie Moshier of Clinton; her sister, Ada Koch of Searsport; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter; her daughter, Eva Sisco; her brother, Albin Clark, and a sister, Eva Dunbar.
A graveside service will also be held in the spring of 2010 at the Fairview Cemetery in Canaan. (Morning Sentinel 12/18/2009)
