Mildred C. Basnett. 93, Ravenswood, passed away on December 31, 2011, at Eldercare of Ripley, WV.
She was born on January 21, 1918, in Weston, WV. Her parents were Thomas Clark and Frey Darnell Clark.
She was a homemaker and a member of Cedar Run United Methodist Church in Ravenswood. She was a past Worthy Matron in the Eastern Star #15; past Mother Advisor of Rainbow Cross of Colors; past treasurer for Cedar Run United Methodist Church and past member of the Ohio Valley Homemakers Club.
Surviving relatives are: daughter: Sandra Fortner and husband, Ron; grandchildren: Timothy Fortner and wife, Angie, Scott Fortner and wife, Susie and Tamara Engevold; great-grandchildren: Brad Fortner; Aleah Engevold and Madison Fortner and great-great-grandson: Trenton Fortner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald and brothers, Roscoe and Robley Clark.
Services are Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 11 am at Roush Funeral Home. Pastor Chris Skeens will officiate. Burial will be at Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 3, from 5 to 8 pm.
