Thelma Inez Ball, 100, of Baytown, passed away, Monday, April 15, 2002 at a local hospital.

Thelma was born July 22, 1901 in Greenville. She lived in Baytown for 80 years. She was a school teacher. She was the last surviving member of the Charter Members of First Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the PTA, Delta Beta Sorority, Miss Joseph's Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Fredrick Ball, son, James Fredrick Ball, two brothers, six sisters and a great-grandson, Jeffrey Scott Stuart.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Helon E. and George A. Garrett of Baytown; grandchildren, Margie and John W. Halford of Baytown; Kathleen and Tim Stuart of Baytown; great-grandchildren, Amy and James Kaminski, Angela and Jason Grothe, Melaine Stuart and Megan Cambern, Timothy F. Stuart, great-great-granddaughter, Lauren Kaminski and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Federico Dancel and Dr. Richardo Pardo for their devoted and compassionate care.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m. today, April 17, 2002 at Navarre Funeral Home.

Funeral services will at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2002 at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Richard Kleiman officiating.

Interment will be at 3 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2002 at East Mount Cemetery in Greenville.

Pallbearers will be Tommie Ball, Maurice Taylor, Clyde Casey, Dean Corbell, Don Hyde and Ray Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Washburn, Herbert Herbert, Arby Lee Wilkey, Charles Joseph, Rich Skinner, Tim Stuart, Peter Buenz, John Horton and John Halford.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Presbyterian Church, 1715 Market, Baytown, 77520. Arrangements are under the direction of Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook, Baytown, 281-422-8111.
