A resident of Calgary from 1890 to 1948, Mrs. Eleanor (Nellie) Adams, 82, of Brandon died there Friday. Mrs. Adams was born in County Cork, Ireland, and after spending her childhood in Ontario she moved to Calgary in 1890.
She was the wife of F.C. Adams, former owner of the Alberta and Victoria Hotels, who died in 1947. A member of the Old Timers Association, she was also a long-time member of the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer in which she took an active part.
Surviving are three sons, Clinton of Brandon, Fred D. of Toronto and Stewart of Calgary; two stepsons, Victor and Ray Armstrong of Calgary; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
