CLANTON~~~~~Virginia Cobb Jackson Boyd, age 87, of Clanton, died, Friday, Feb. 18, 2011. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Central Cemetery in Emelle with Dr. Karl Stegall officiating and Martin Funeral Home directing.
She was born on Monday, February 19, 1923 in Charleston, S.C., daughter of the late John Cobb and the late Mary Cherry Cobb. She was a Homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Grover Frank "Skip" Boyd (Shirley) of Emelle, Ala.; two daughters, Dianne Boyd Wages (Theo) of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Janice Boyd DeVaughn (Ocie) of Clanton, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Frank Boyd (Sue), Dr. Trey Wages (Wynn), Tiffany Ansley, Kelley Roberson (Matt), Carrie Pinkard (Richard), Austin Edward Swann, and John Gerald Boyd; and eight great-grandchildren, Katie Scott Troy, Russ Ansley, Jack Pinkard, Owen Roberson, Anna Louise Wages, Ted Wages, Wake Wages, and Tanner Wages.
