Josephine Broomell

Mrs. Josephine Rose Coco Broomell, age 88, formerly of Pompano Beach, FL, died on Thursday, July 3, 2008, at her residence in Delaware.

Born in Wilmington, DE on October 19, 1919, Mrs. Broomell was a daughter of the late Charles P. Coco and Rose A. Rene Coco. She was a gifted homemaker throughout her life and also served as the office manager for her husband's plumbing business. A talented artist, Mrs. Broomell greatly enjoyed both crocheting and making porcelain dolls.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Broomell, her daughter, Delores Broomell, and her son, Butch Broomell. She is survived by 2 brothers, James Coco and wife, Esther, of Wilmington, DE; and Paul Coco and wife, Barbara, of Wilmington, DE; sister-in-law, Alice Crawford of FL; daughter-in-law, Beverly Broomell of NY; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A committal service will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, July 14, 2008, in the Abbey of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Entombment will follow in the adjoining mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Read's Way, Ste. 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
