Nellie M. Brouillette (1924 - 2016)

Nellie M. Brouillette, 92, a long-time resident of Port Orange, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016.

Nellie was born in Lawrence, MA on August 30, 1924. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Wells Fargo Bank. Nellie was an active member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Our Lady of Hope Council of Catholic Women and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Xi Epsilon Xi Chapter. Nellie loved life. She enjoyed playing cards, socializing and traveling. She loved to laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor. Her smile would light up a room. Being a great cook, nothing made her happier than seeing her friends and family around the dinner table. Nellie loved to be around people and everyone loved to be around her. The mother of six, family was the most important thing in her life.

Nellie is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Sebastiana Coco, her son Joseph Brouillette, her husband Donald Brouillette and her sister Constance Coco.

Survivors include her children, Donald and wife Ann Brouillette, Lawrence and wife Linda Brouillette, John and wife Jennifer Brouillette, Constance Keller, and Michael and wife Kimberly Brouillette. Nellie was blessed with seventeen grandchildren, Sarah Brouillette, Erin Brouillette, Suzanne Corley, James Kokozynski, Matthew (Mak) Kokozynski, Catherine Brouillette, Mary Brouillette, John Brouillette, Matthew Brouillette, Randall Blanchard, Charles Keller, Daniel Keller, Lauren Brouillette, Michael Brouillette, Connor Brouillette, Patrick Shea and Tara Coppola. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Lohman Funeral Home, 1201 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange, FL 32127 on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be presided by Fr. Christopher Hoffman at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 4675 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, FL 32129, on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32114. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Gifts, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Halifax Hospital Hospice Care Center for their support in her final days. Condolences may be shared at lohmanfuneralhomes.com.
