Elizabeth (Bora) Bialk or Balke was the daughter of Joseph Bora (Bohra) and Marianna Ceynowa. She was born in Rheda, West Prussia (now Reda). Elizabeth married August Bialk at Rheda in 1876. They had five children, two of whom lived to adulthood: Franz Anton (1877-1888), August Emil, Johann Albert (1883-1883), Anton Andreas (1884-1888) and Joseph Felix Balke

Note: her maiden name is recorded as "Cody" on son Joseph's marriage and death records which conflicts with the baptism records of her children in Rheda, including Joseph's.
