Willis, Minister. Witnesses to the Wedding were Maude Tandy ( Mother of the Bride ) and Ershel Eddington ( Sister of the Bride ). Agatha and Bert lived many places in McDonough County before purchasing the Frisbie Blacksmith Shop in Fandon which Bert used as a garage where he worked on cars and tractors. They moved to a farm on Gin Ridge for a year, then moved this house to Fandon where they opened another garage and lived for many years raising their children.

Agatha and Bert had three children:

Estelene "Sissy" Black Bodenhamer (Larry)

Agatha went to work in her profession of nursing at the St. Francis and the Phelps Hospital in Macomb, and the Colchester Hospital, in Colchester. Later, she went to work as an industrial nurse at King Seeley Thermos Manufacturing in Macomb, where she worked for 18 years until she retired.

In their later years Agatha and Bert moved to a farm owned by their son. Together the couple renovated and fixed up the little house and the surrounding grounds and made their home.

She loved her children and grandchildren and was always happy to have them come home on Sundays for dinner and to stay for supper also. She greatly enjoyed baking the birthday cakes for each family member.

Agatha and Albert celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on November 14, 1975. Their children hosted a 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration for them and the party was attended by many family and friends. Along with many Cards and Gifts, a Memento Book containing pictures, stories, poems & events in their lives, plus activities of the day were presented to the Couple.

On January 3rd, 1981 the Love of Agatha's Life, Albert Black, passed away after sustaining a broken hip. The Couple had been married a little over 56 years at the time of his passing.

Agatha continued to live in the little country home that she shared with Albert until her own health issues necessitated her move to living in a nursing home.
