Eloise M. Adams, 84, of Bellevue, Washington formerly of Waterloo, died on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Mission Health Care in Bellevue. She was born on October 10, 1930 in Menlo, IA, daughter of Charles and Sarah Harkins Colbert.

Eloise married Wilbur K. Adams on October 9, 1947 at the Methodist Church in Waverly, IA. He died March 31, 2012. Eloise and Wilbur owned and operated Waterloo Sickroom Equipment and Supplies from 1980 until retirement in 1997. They enjoyed traveling and took trips to the Panama Canal, Hawaii and many other places.

She was a member of Grace Reformed Church since 1952. She was very active in the church and sang in the choir, she was the Sunday School Superintendent and taught Sunday School and Bible School. Eloise and her husband volunteered for the Wednesday Night Kids Club and Eloise was past president of the Reformed Church Women’s Guild.

She was a member of the Covenant Medical Center Auxiliary and former board member and volunteer. She and her husband were Chamber of Commerce Diplomats. Eloise was a member of the Red Hats. She also enjoyed crocheting.

Eloise is survived by: a daughter, Kathryn (Ben) Brezinski of Carnation, WA; a brother, Charles (Barbara) Colbert of Eldridge; a sister, Ruby Waltz of Stuart; and two grandchildren, Kristin and Michaela Brezinski of Carnation, WA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and four brothers; Allen Colbert, Doyle Colbert, Donald Colbert and Bruce Colbert.
