Leah Belle Cochran, 88, Missouri, passed away April 17, 2013, Covina, CA. She was born March 27, 1925, to George and Bertha Cole, El Dorado Springs.
Belle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was married to Claude Alvin Cochran for 50 years, until his passing in 1993. She worked in the aerospace industry before retiring to become a full-time grandmother and great-grandmother. Being raised in Missouri in the Oyer area, instilled a love for the outdoors. Her favorite thing to do was to fish and tell childhood stories along the riverbanks. When she wasn't fishing, you could find her playing bingo with her family and friends. She was always the happiest when she was surrounded by friends and family, living a full, blessed life filled with love.
Belle leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her children. George Edward Cochran; Sharon F. Hill and husband, Dennis; Betty Sue Bible, and David Cochran and wife, Gayle. She was doted on by her eight grandchildren, Kimberly Reeves (Steve Reeves); Timothy Cochran-Bible (Tammy Cochran); Jason Bible; Darla Kernell (James Kernell); Scott Cochran (Heidi Cochran) and Duane Hill (Vanessa Hill). Her memory will be forever touched into the hearts of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Timothy Cochran, Geneva Cochran, Alyssa Cochran, Kaitlyn Phillips, Austin Reeves, Caleb Reeves, Sophia Kernell, Amaya Kernell, Josiah Kernell, David Cochran, Addyson Cochran, Josiah Cochran and Savannah Cochran.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Cochran; loving sisters, Zaulena Mae Kirkendall; Emma Arvella Lakin; Edith Estell Hammergren and Nora Francis Gresham; her great-granddaughter, Machaela Anne Kernell and son-in-law, Roger Bible.
Services were at the Oak Dale Memorial Park on April 30, 2013.
