Funeral services for Nancy "Sis" Boyd, 89, of Winnsboro will be held 10 am Friday, October 31, 2014, in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Harper and Rev. David Mixon officiating. Interment will follow in Ogden Cemetery. Visitation will be 8:30 am until time of service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Boyd was born September 29, 1925 to the union of William Truly and Eva Alice "Allie" Morris Coleman and passed from this life on October 30, 2014 at Plantation Manor Nursing Center in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Boyd loved flowers and animals.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lee Boyd; sons Buddy and Billy Boyd, Harvey Lee Boyd and wife Tinker and Charles Boyd; two brothers Alton and Bennett Coleman; granddaughter Angela Mays.
Survivors include her four children: Carolyn Griffin, Wayne Boyd and wife Margarette, Maxine Mays all of Winnsboro and Johnny Boyd and wife Diane of Nashville, TN; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Edna Spinks of Jena and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Mike Boyd, Greg Boyd, Randy Boyd, Garrett Dye, Stacy Griffin and Dallas Mays.
