Helen Quaintance Colgate Badger, 88, died April 30, 2009 at Columbine Manor Care Center, Salida Colorado. Helen was born February 24, 1921 to Arthur and Helen Colgate in Woburn, MA.

In 1942 she joined the Navy and became a wave and moved to Alameda, California where she met and married Paul F. Badger who she was married to for 62 years. In 1965 Paul and Helen, and family moved to Colorado Springs, CO. There she was involved and worked for the Republican Party.

She was a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved to play Bridge, sew, do needle work and cross-stitch. She also loved her Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. Helen and Paul traveled and spent most of their time off at Cutty's resort in Coaldale, CO. In 2004, she and Paul moved to Salida to be close to their daughter Beverly Gray.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, sister Sally Stonehouse (Colgate), and son John L. Badger, Cheyenne, WY.

Survivors include her husband Paul F. Badger of Salida, CO, sister Jean Colgate Stafford of Woburn, Mass, sons Paul F Badger II, of San Rafael, CA, Alan and Connie Badger of Papillion, NE, daughter, Beverly Gray of Salida, CO grand children Sam Badger, David Badger, Josh Gray, Amber (Badger) Johnson, Crystal Badger, Orrin Badger, Cameron Badger, Nathanial Badger, and Quaintance Badger.

Great grandchildren Solon and Hailey Gray and Trinity and Mariah Johnson. There will be a Memorial Service at Lewis and Glen Funeral Home on Sunday May 3, 2009 at 2:00pm
