Stephanie Marie died April 25 in Henderson, NV. She was 27. She is survived by her husband Tim Carvalho, and son Aidan Reilly Coll Carvalho, 8 months, of Las Vegas, NV; parents Joseph and Margaret Coll of Cincinnati,; brothers Brian of Michigan, Scott of Florida and Stephen of California, and many friends. She moved to Las Vegas four years ago to be with her University of Cincinnati sweetheart, Tim, a Las Vegas native. During her short life, Stephanie accomplished many things she thought were impossible. Although she struggled with physical ailments all her life, she never let them hold her back. Pregnant and working full time for the View Newspapers, Stephanie earned her communications degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 2003. She was a member of the National Dean's List for colleges, the Golden Key Honor Society and Omicron-Psi, an honor society for nontraditional students. Against all odds, she became a mother. After her son was born, she found a need to make a difference in the lives of children, changing her focus from advertising to education. She became a substitute teacher and applied to the Clark County School District's fast track licensure program to one day teach full time.

Stephanie attended the University of Cincinnati and the University of Las Vegas.
