Mary Helen Bell, 71, 207 W. Eighth St., Peru, died Monday in Dukes Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 25, 1914, in Kokomo, to Ora and Mary Helen Snyder Collier. Her marriage on July 11, 1932, was to Henry O. Bell, who died in 1976.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Peru.
Surviving are five daughters, Virginia Starkey, Blaine, Minn., Rachel Holy, Peru, Vivian Ireland, Mooresville, N.C., Barbara Hardwick, Kansas City, Mo., and Melissa Faucheuz, Goncales, La.; two sons, Charles, El Paso, Tex., and Thomas, Ludlow, Ky.; three sisters, Virginia Jergens, Wisconsin, Mildred Repp, Arizona, and Dorothy Gasaway, Kokomo; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One daughter preceded in death.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Hardin officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
