Attorney, sports figure and philanthropist. He was general counsel and secretary of the Los Angeles Turf Club (Santa Anita Track), president and chairman of the board of the Hollywood Baseball Assn. He was very active in Catholic charitable organizations and was named a Knight of Malta. Member of Los Angeles Country Club, California Club, Bel Air Bay Club. His funeral mass was celebrated by Cardinal McIntyre.
