Sandi passed away on Friday morning, May 12, 2006, in her favorite chair while waiting for her coffee to cool. She was 64 years old.

Sandi was born in Los Angeles, CA, March 14, 1942, to Joseph and Catherine Collins. She was raised by her mother Catherine and step father Andrew Miller. With the exception of four years of her childhood in Missouri, Sandi has been a resident in the Pomona Valley for 60 years.

She went to Upland High School in the 50's where she was a home coming queen and cheerleader, spreading school spirit. She enjoyed a 38 year marriage with her life long love, Ralph Berger. As a young woman she prided herself as an executive administrator for the Phone Company. She moved on from career woman to homemaker as she raised her only son, Eric.

As a mother she poured herself into her role, volunteering in school activities including the PTA, room mom and cub scouts. She continued to bless her son throughout the rest of her life through her enthusiasm and support in every endeavor he tackled. She was a great Mom. As a wife, Sandi blessed Ralph with her same enthusiastic spirit by supporting him in his career as a fire fighter. She volunteered in many organizations to support fire fighters, such as the Chino Fire Women's Auxiliary Board (Fire Crackers).

She volunteered in political campaigns for those she supported throughout the years. She even worked part time as a wall paper hanger for a decorating firm in Claremont.

Sandi has been a blessing to all of those she loved. She is survived by her son Eric, her grandchildren, Erin, Mary and David, her daughter-in-law, Catherine, her life long love Ralph, Brothers; Don, Ray. John and Steve; 3 nephews and 8 nieces. She has been a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Wife, sister, Mother-in-law, and friend.

She didn't know a stranger, and found the good in everybody she met. Sandi was many things to many people. She didn't claim a church denomination but found God in nature and the people around her that she was dedicated to. She loved to paint, camping at the beach, going to concerts and listening to music, gardening, and being there for others. She never stopped being the cheerleader that she had been from her days at Upland High. She carried on her zest for life as she supported and cheered on the ones she loved.

**Ralph and Sandi Berger were my neighbors when I was a kid growing up in Chino. They were the best you could ask for as far as neighbors go. Sandi even helped me wallpaper my bedroom when I wanted to do something in RED sooo badly and my parents weren't too thrilled with the idea!**
