Word has been received of the death of Lynn Collins Charron, age 68, formerly of Newport, MI.
Lynn passed away Sept. 10, 2010 in Laguna Beach, Calif., where she had been a resident for 47 years.
Born in 1942, she grew up in Newport, Mich. and was a 1959 graduate of Monroe High School.
After graduating from Eastern Michigan University in 1963, she moved to southern California to teach for Garden Grove Unified School District. She taught elementary school there for 42 years. Lynn had a passion for outdoor education and science, which she shared with her students.

A memorial service was held at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Laguna Beach, where Lynn was a long time congregant. Interment took place at Glen Haven Shalom Memorial Park in Sylmar, Calif. Lynn is united in eternity with her husband Dr. Bert Keilin.
She was also preceded in death by parents William and Florence Collins, cousin Cheri Girard, and beloved grandson Matthew Gabriel Baioni.
She is survived by her daughter Dana Baioni, son-in-law Sean Baioni and granddaughter Lily Gabriella Baioni.
Additional survivors are Virginia Horvath, Denise Horvath Semion (Bill), George Horvath, Robert W. Girard (Barbara), Robert W. Girard Jr. (Cindy), Rory J. Girard (Kelly), Jerome Girard, Carie Kuras (Douglas), Nicholas, Nolan, and Derrick Fox, Cory and Brent Girard, and Jessica Girard.
