Mrs. Mildred L. Abbott of Bowling Green died Sunday (Jan. 18, 1998) at the Rohr Home in Bartow. She was 86.
Born in Fort Green on Nov. 23, 1911, she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a licensed practical nurse at a hospital. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Fort Green Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers. She is survived by her husband, Alton Abbott, Fort Green; daughter, Minnie Louise Gravel, Lakeland; sons, Kenneth Abbott, Lakeland, and Carroll Abbott, Lake City; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-granchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Curry Raley Funeral Home, 404 W. Palmetto, Wauchula. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Fort Green Baptist Church.
