In loving memory of Betty Louise Collins Bleuer, of Hawthorne, who passed away in Torrance, California on May 16, 2011.

Born to Everet Collins and Myrtle Britt Collins on February 1, 1934 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, Betty was sister to Bill, Beulah and Ruby. The family lived on a farm. She married Robert Phillip Bleuer III in 1956, and in 1959 the couple moved first to Los Angeles and then to the South Bay, where they raised their four children.
Betty loved the arts, languages, and learning, and strove to instill in her children an exploratory attitude toward life. Later, her five grandchildren (and, often, her animal companions) were a special source of joy to her.
Through the years, the woman with the beautiful "apple-cheek smile" never forgot her Oklahoma roots, but did become a "true Los Angeles Area/South Bay girl."

Pre-deceased by her beloved son Randy, Betty's memory will be kept alive by Bob, her husband of fifty-three years, her daughter Lori, her sons Erik and Kevin, their families, her family in Oklahoma, and many wonderful friends.

Services were held at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes on May 20, 2011.
