Most of the details of this lady's life are unknown. The known facts are this. Mary Elizabeth married William Henry Brock on 3 Sept 1865 in Franklin County, Georgia. The spelling of her maiden name is as it appears on the marriage record.

The dates of her birth and death are recorded in the William Henry Brock bible. However, locations were not entered. The place of birth that is listed as Georgia is the response given by her sons on the various census records. However, we should always keep in mind the fact that where someone "came from" and where they were actually born can be two different places.

Her first child, George Alvin Brock was born 10 May 1866 in Franklin County, Georgia. Her second child, John Franklin Brock was born 18 May 1867 somewhere in Texas. The remainder of her children all appear to have been born in Texas. Therefore, it seems clear that she died and is buried somewhere in the state of Texas.

The William Henry Brock family has not been found at the time of the 1870 census. The next clue we have as to this family's location is when William Henry Brock marries Mahalie Elizabeth Williams on 7 June 1874 in Madison County, Texas. William Henry and his second wife are found on the 1880 census of Falls County, Texas. There has been some confusion between the two wives of William Henry Brock due to the fact that both ladies had the same initials.

We will probably never know for sure exactly where she died or is buried.

According to the family bible she was the mother of the following five sons.
George Alvin Brock (1866-1941)
John Franklin Brock (1867-1925)
J. R. Brock (1870-1870)
William Robert Brock (1871-1934)
Sammy M. Brock (1872-1873)
