Dorothy C. Bieber, age 90, died Sunday, March 14, 2010 in Lecanto, FL. She was born September 13, 1919 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Henry and Beulah (Butz) Collyer.


She was a loving mother and homemaker while her children were growing up and then worked as a retail administrative clerk in later years. She loved working at the Boca Raton Community Church Bookstore, where she always cheerfully greeted customers and made many friends during her years of working there.


She moved to Lecanto from Boca Raton in 2007. Prior to her move, her hobbies included stamp collecting and volunteering at the Boca Raton Community Church, where she was a member.


Ms. Bieber was preceded in death by her sister, Adelaide Collyer. Survivors include 2 daughters, Cathie Desell of Irving, TX and Wendy Pfau and son-in-law, Ronald Pfau of Beverly Hills, FL; brother, Henry Collyer of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Frances Gage of Philadelphia, PA; 4 grandchildren, Melissa Woods, Kim Desell, Ryan Pfau, and Mindy Merritt, 4 great-grandchildren, Kayla Woods, Shelby Merritt, Sierra Merritt, Savannah Woods and many nieces, cousins, and friends. Services for Ms. Bieber will be held on a later date in Boca Raton.
