Raphael Anthony Coltrin, 62, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 in a local hospital.
He was born in Lake Charles and was a member of the Catholic Faith. He was a graduate of Landry High School and McNeese State University. He worked for the Electrician's Local 861 and also served as a Police Juror. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW and Vietnam Veterans.
Survivors include his daughters, Kara Coltrin of DeQuincy, Kassie Coltrin of Florida; brothers, William Coltrin of Lake Charles, James Coltrin of Carlyss, Jessie Coltrin of Lake Charles and one sister, Elizabeth Mouton of Carlyss. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie W. Coltrin and Frances Vincent Coltrin.
His funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Msgr. Jace Eskind will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday 8 a.m. til time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Rosary will be prayed Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
