Ruth (Armstrong) Comer died on September 9, 2014 a the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Ralph T. Comer; and two brothers, J. E. Armstrong and Roy Armstrong. She is survived by two daughters, a son, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A recent resident of Pleasant Grove and a member of Central Park United Methodist and The United Methodist Women. She also enjoyed her membership with the Homemakers Club. She retired from UAB Hospital several years ago as a secretary in the dialysis dept.
