The late Annie Belle Comer was born on December 4, 1909 in Clayton, Alabama, to the loving union of the late Rev. Marshall and Agnes Anglin. She was the 14th child of 15 children born to this union. She was converted at a very early age and gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ. As a young woman she joined Mr. Lewis Comer in Holy Matrimony. To this union six children were born, three girls and three boys.

In 1958, Mr. and Mrs. Comer moved to Haines City, Florida. She continued in church service and fellowship by confirming her membership with the Beulah Baptist Church, where she served or many years under the leadership of the late Rev. Statom. After a period of illness, she attended the Free Hope Baptist Church which was very close to her home, where the late Rev. Robinson was pastor. She served her community and the state of Florida as a Certified Mid-wife for many years. She was loved and adored by all of the people that she served.

In 1989, she moved to Newark, New Jersey, to the home and under the care of her daughter, Mrs. Marretta Comer Dicks, and the watchful care of her granddaughter, Rev. Dr. Lorretta Comer Williams. On Wednesday, November 11, 1998 she departed this life, and now present with her Lord Jesus Christ.

She leaves to celebrate her life and her sweet memory, her daughter Mrs. Mary Williams of Lake Whales, Florida; son, Mr. Freddie Lee Comer, Sr. of Haines City, Florida; daughter, Mrs. Marretta Comer Dicks of Newark, New Jersey, daughter, Mrs. Vela Comer Carter of Tulsa, Oklahoma; son, Mr. Horace Lee Comer of Haines City, Florida; her son, Mr. Silas Comer of Newark, New Jersey; her sister, Mrs. Bessie Mae Lee, of Midway, Alabama; twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grand children, ten great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving relatives, well wishers and friends.
